Currux Vision Deploys Corridor Control Platform, Cuts Congestion by Over 25% in Pinellas County, FL

Currux Vision and its distributor, Temple Inc., have brought the Corridor Control adaptive platform online across major intersections in Pinellas County, Florida — and the early numbers are in.

Time lost sitting at red lights is not a small problem. Across the United States it adds up to an estimated 329 million vehicle-hours of delay every year, costing roughly $8.6 billion — and accounting for close to a fifth of all traffic congestion nationwide.

Pinellas County is no small test case either: home to nearly one million residents, and a destination for more than 20 million visitors a year. County leaders turned to Currux Vision's AI-based Corridor Control to let the corridor adjust itself in real time, instead of running on fixed, pre-set schedules.

Within one week of activation, the results were already measurable: a reduction in traffic delay of over 25%, a decrease in corridor carbon emissions of over 25%, and meaningful time and cost savings for drivers moving through the corridor.

County officials pointed to the platform's ability to keep improving on its own — recognizing patterns over time rather than simply reacting to them in the moment. Temple Inc., which led the deployment, highlighted how directly the platform dropped onto Pinellas County's existing traffic infrastructure, with no new controllers and no rebuilt cabinets required.

Temple Inc. brings 65 years of transportation infrastructure experience to the partnership. Pinellas County remains Florida's most densely populated county, making it one of the clearest possible proving grounds for adaptive corridor control at scale.
