The Currux Vision Smart City Intelligent Traffic Management Platform (“ITMP”) uses Artificial Intelligence (“AI”) at the edge to provide real time roadway, intersection, and public safety traffic management. This Platform provides the big data and autonomous operation required to move traffic efficiently at a safe speed, ensure safe pedestrian and bicycle movement, and provide faster response to incidents.
Currux Vision LLC (“Currux Vision”), the AI-based infrastructure technology solutions company today announced its deployment by the Department of Transportation of the City of St. Cloud, MN to help meet Vision Zero goals and reduce congestion and the associated greenhouse gas emissions.
Currux Vision’s ITMP will automate the current traffic control system using existing infrastructure – cameras, controllers, control center, etc., and provide high-resolution real time data on traffic safety. The system will also monitor the effectiveness and accuracy of the existing vehicle detection system. This solution requires only a small server placed in the server room or the traffic cabinet, connected to power and the network. No Internet access is required.
Currux Vision solutions are designed from the ground up to upgrade legacy transportation infrastructure systems with cutting edge, AI powered autonomous traffic control and traffic safety technology. The Currux Vision Autonomous Signal Control System (“ASCS”) works with the legacy controllers and infrastructure.
“Currux Vision delivers one of the most comprehensive autonomous traffic management platforms available without having to upgrade existing systems. This includes a wide range of Vision Zero capabilities and autonomous real-time prediction of hazardous traffic conditions such as wrong way driver, stopped vehicles, speeding, running red lights and stop signs, parking infringements, and school zone safety. We look forward to working with Blake and the City of St. Cloud to enhance the city transportation network,” said Tom Hoene, VP Regional Sales.
“Deploying this leading-edge technology is a step in implementing the City of St. Cloud’s Vision to achieve concrete benefits in safety, sustainability, economic opportunity, and quality of life for our residents. We look forward to seeing reduced traffic congestion and accidents with connected infrastructure, real time big data analytics and alerts. New AI technologies will create innovative, cost-effective ways to accurately monitor traffic, and provide information that can prevent or reduce congestion and accidents, creating safer roads for drivers, cyclists, and pedestrians around the clock,” Blake Redfield, ITS Manager, City of St. Cloud.
“Currux Vision’s mission is to reduce congestion, CO2 emissions, and traffic accidents by designing and deploying state of the art edge and hybrid-cloud based autonomous control systems that can operate at scale and help cities and DoTs move the needle today. We help solve problems that our customers always wanted to solve but didn’t have the suitable technology to do so. As a Texas-based American company, we are proud to advance the science and practice of AI technology and push the limits of what is possible. We are very excited to work with the City of St. Cloud and are thankful for the opportunity to help them,” Alex Colosivschi, Founder and CEO of Currux Vision.
