Currux Vision and Costar Technologies Announce Over 98% Accuracy of Smart City AI Traffic Platform
Currux Vision Corp, an AI and deep-learning solutions company, and Costar Technologies, Inc., a global manufacturer of camera and video surveillance systems, released test results for their integrated Smart City AI Traffic Video Analytics and Management Solution.
Traditional traffic management systems are time-consuming, inefficient, and costly to run. The joint solution eliminates the need for constant human oversight and outdated manual reporting by autonomously monitoring traffic cameras and generating real-time alerts. The system detects vehicle types, identifies slow or wrong-way traffic, speeding, and parking violations, and tracks pedestrians — with a dashboard that provides analytics and reporting without requiring a separate video management system.
Independent testing confirmed the platform operates with “95%–98% or higher accuracy under various conditions,” including day, night, rain, camera vibrations, and partial obstruction — with ease of installation, edge processing, flexible backend functionality and competitive pricing among the platform's key differentiators.
“Urbanization, increased traffic, and climate change drive the urgent need for a next-generation traffic monitoring solution,” said Alex Colosivschi, Currux Vision's Founder and CEO. Costar's CTO, Mathiew Bais, added that “the Currux Vision AI system brings the accuracy, flexibility, ease of installation and use, and the price point” needed for widespread adoption by cities and DOTs.
Currux Vision was recognized as a top AI & Machine Learning product of 2018 by Product Hunt. Costar Technologies, headquartered in Coppell, Texas, trades on OTC Markets under the ticker CSTI and ranked 36th in A&S Magazine's Security 50 for 2018.
