Currux Vision - Interview with the developer of a fantastic app

Did you have any prior development or coding experience?

Yes, we built a car subscription platform 'Currux - Car Subscriptions'.

What was the most challenging aspect of developing mobile app?

The biggest technical challenge was to make the app work reliably on the phone, without compromising performance and not overheating the device. The app utilizes three parallel machine learning models and many algorithms that make it very computationally intensive. A complex AR engine is built in as well. Balancing accuracy, speed, memory and power usage were all very difficult challenges to overcome, which our team did successfully.

Name a few of your favorite apps and reason you love them.

In 'Currux Vision' space unfortunately many other apps are unusable or require additional equipment. Our goal is to have commercial grade performance. 'Waze' is an app I like, but we are better!

How long have you been working on this app?

Almost a year.

What need of the user did you have in mind when developing this app?

Our app helps users in several important ways: - Driver coaching - it is literally like having a professional driver coach with you in the car at all times. - Accident prevention - unfortunately accidents happen very often. Our AI engine was built to help prevent that. - Tracking & Analytics - our safety and productivity tools allow to see real time position of drivers and their driving behavior/history. - Real time map notifications & navigation - like 'Waze' but much easier to use. Navigation continues to work even without cell coverage.

In what way do you think your app is better than similar apps on the market? Please describe in detail what innovation you think you bring and what you are proud of in your app.

First of all, from day one our goal has been to build something that can qualify as commercial grade technology. Doing what our app does on the phone and doing it well is extremely hard. 'Currux Vision' works on iPhone 6S and above. Second, we wanted to include a suite of features that would make our app indispensable in any fleet operations. 'Currux Vision' combines a number of functions that currently require various hardware systems that cost thousands of dollars.

What are your future plans and expected features of the coming new versions of this app?

We have a very exciting product pipeline. Stay tuned!

Assuming new users of your app are reading this page. What do you want to ask them to do (contact you about X, Share the app, etc.)?

Any feedback is appreciated. Please recommend the app to any parents with children who are driving. Try it, first month is free!
